Just Right for January
For the 46th month in a row The Fucking Bike Club had fun riding bikes under the full moon. That means FBC Full Moon Fiasco #50: FBC Prom, in May, is going to be our Golden Anniversary. Can you even imagine?! We might need to go ahead and form a prom planning committee right now.
As for last Saturday, sure, it was cold. It was cold enough to wear a ski mask without looking like a weirdo. It was cold enough to freeze the lens on my camera and numb toes. But it wasn't too cold to have fun.
Thanks to Off Broadway for waiving their cover charge and to residents of the small apartment at 11th and Allen in Soulard that let 45 Lifetime Members for Life in the FBC crash their party. We had a great time.
Also, cheers to the newly formed FBC Chicago who experienced their first Full Moon Fiasco under the same moon up in the Windy City.

I wish I could have made the bike ride, but there was a House marathon on TV. I heard you hit London Calling-finally a chance for dance-off.
In addition to prom, I would like to propose a masquerade ball/ride. The rule should be that everyone makes his or her mask.
Hey everyone...
Saturday night (the 17th) there is going to be a non-partisan "Inaugural Ball" being thrown by my girlfriend Robin at The Bluebird with DJ Commiekay (from London Calling) which should result in one huge and non-stop dance party. The party starts at 9PM and goes until close and it will be the last night that the place will be known as The Bluebird.
Suggested attire is "playfully formal" or "politically inspired" but not required but this will be a great opportunity to test out potential prom threads and get some dance floor practice in before the Silver Anniversary/Prom FBC ride in May.
There is a cover of $5 donation for ASPCA or 2 canned goods for local food banks.

Hey St. Lou, Thanks for the name check! The first Chicago Fiasco was nothing short of kickass. Had a damn good turnout for the first one considering the icy blast off the lake.
