Put them on and grab your bike, because Sunday, July 25th, is the FBC's 4th annual Summertime Underwear Pool Party of Destiny. If it goes anything like the last three, our destiny is to strike out on finding a pool that can accommodate us. But we'll still have fun pedaling around town in our unmentionables. What better way to spend a Sunday night in the Summer?

city wide open studio tour is saturday and sunday, and my studio at the luminary center for the arts will open on saturday. it should be a good day to ride your bike around this amazing city and check out some art stuff. http://www.openstudiosonline.org/ for more info

Yes...Turtle Park near the Zoo. Some of the group drink before the ride, some during the ride and some after the ride. Some don't drink and others don't stop drinking. Fun is the main requirement of these rides, not drinking.
Also, there is no group ride back to Turtle Park so be aware that there is a chance you might be in charge of getting yourself back to Turtle Park (or whereever you rode there from) by yourself.
If you would flat there are normally people that will help you change it if necessary but not guaranteed and it is best to have a spare tube if that would happen.
Ah yes, and Anonymous 6:38 AM, I recommend you read the Anonymous Letter to the FBC from a LTMFL. Its particularly relevant to the summer rides and a doozy

I have drunkenly gotten splishy splashy in City Garden around 2 AM. I think they have one night guard and he didn't care. Go for it.

So was that a news camera in downtown St. Louis last night or not, did anybody actually figure out? 'cause there was no van, or reporter, but that certainly wasn't a personal-use camera, but none of the local news channel websites have anything about cyclists or underwear :<
I surely hope the young chap that got carted away in a manner other than his bicycle is ok. I also hope a lot of you start wearing helmets no matter how "dorky" or "stupid looking" or "how much it clashes with your outfit" or whatever your take on helmets are. Thing is, if the red and blue lights are there chasing us out of somewhere is one thing, but having the red and blue lights carting away a fellow LMFL is not the way to spend a fiasco. Be safe.
