Stolen Bike Alert!

Keep your eyes open FBCers, Molly's bike was stolen this morning from the bike rack outside Local Harvest Cafe near Tower Grove Park. It is a black IRO fixed gear with gold handle bars. Obviously she really wants back, lets see if we can find it.

FYI: In the past month there have been a couple reports of bikes being stolen from usually safe places in the Central West End, including racks near the medical school.

I had my Trek 7.3 FX stolen out in front of my dad's apartment last weekend as well, the cable was also cut through, there appears to be a trend.

Cable locks are crap and you should only ever use them to lock your wheel to your frame, AFTER you've locked your frame securely with a quality U-Lock.

not sure if the fbc is doing a turtle park meet for the moonlight ramble again, but i am meeting a few friends at atomic around 9 sat where we'll probably get our drink on and then ride part or more of the ramble before immediately heading back and getting our drink on some more at atomic. kinda got to use the patio weather or something like that. hope to see some bikes there early or late!

bummer about the bikes. and like somebody is gonna ride a fixed gear around after stealing it? this has got to be a ring of some sort. that kind of bike can't stay around here very easily. somebody that stupid wouldn't even be able to ride a fixed gear, lol.

Flat Tire Don! This is Scarletta!

Speaking of bike locks, I believe I left mine in your car on the way to Zach's house from Atomic Cowboy. It's the Alcatraz chain with U-Lock. If you got it, could you please bring it with you on the next FBC ride?

i was in a shitty accident from bombing a good hill on a mini bike with a banana seat and ape hangers. resulted in a coma for 5 days! keep it steady because once the wobble gets you it's a bitch to turn around.
