Aprilween! and Volunteer Needed
Heads up-- the April Full Moon Fiasco is Aprilween. Halloween costumes are required to attend. This year Aprilween will be celebrated on Sunday April 17th. Meet at Turtle Park around 10:30pm.
From Turtle Park we will be riding first to the South Compton Water Tower which is being kept open for us. For $5 cash (which goes to the preservation of St. Louis water towers) you can climb to the top of the tower and party nearer the moon in an Aprilween costume. The people that are keeping the tower open for us are looking for one volunteer to assist them. This volunteer would be able to do the rest of the ride, but would need to skip the meet-up at Turtle Park. Any takers? Let us know in the comments.

Hi Lee,
As a loyal FBC'er, I have an urgent question for you. Would you please contact me at dbpalmer4@gmail.com soon?
Thanks man,
Dustin
DEAR ALMIGHTY POWERS THAT BE...
COULD WE POSSIBLY PASS BY COUSIN HUGO'S THE NIGHT OF THE RIDE? I REALLY WANT TO ATTEND AND THIS MAY BE THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET OF THAT NIGHT.
PLEEEEZZZEE,
BIG BOI
uh yeah i second victor/BIG BOI. i've never been to cousin hugo's, but from the looks of it they've got an alright looking soup & salad deal.
Cousin Hugos? Isn't that kind of November 2005ish. Check the blog post to relive the fun and the arrests
HA and you people think littering is a problem?
Well you're certainly right but not so much as arrests though
Hay, if you still need a volunteer I would do it!
rlwmy8@umsl.edu Just let me know.
$5 to go up in the middle of the night at the water tower? Is it a donation or required?
I'm willing to go and volunteer before the ride. Email me and send me details.
-Jeff
$5 is required if you want to go up in the tower.
I called it a donation to make it clear that some dude is not turning a profit off us. He is giving us a rad opportunity and charging $5 to help maintain one the the countless things that make St. Louis so fucking awesome.
Anybody who doesn't want to give up a fiver is welcome to enjoy the tower from the ground. It's awesome from that perspective too.
-Lee
and a rad opportunity it is. i'll have my $5 in my greasy fist and a cold one in the other. i always wanted to go up in that thing, and now i get to do it on an fbc ride.
i dedicate this video to the night. and i changed the lyrics around a bit.

Everywhere the bikes did ride,
The tower lies just ahead
Ride is long, still I carry on
In my hand a cold one.
As I look there upon the hill,
There it stands so tall
Said that stone structured wall of gold,
Will heed the voice of us all.
Just a light, from a tower
Burning on from dusk to dawn
Just a light, from a tower
Burning on from dusk to dawn
I think that's awesome you have an arrangement to go up in the tower at night! I've been up in it during the day and it's very cool. $5 is well worth it. Also, I would recommend bringing a flashlight because if memory serves, there are not many lights and twisty stairs. :)
I live closer to the Water Tower than Turtle Park and would be willing to volunteer.
"Some dude" is my boy Damon, isn't it. He's the raddest. The view is THE BEST in STL. HANDS DOWN. NO JOKE. Love STL? Gotta see this.
