I think I got tricked into being interviewed by a TV man. Anyone else talk to that older gentleman before the ride?

yeah, apparently the tv guy was standing right next to me, filming me while i was unracking our bikes. my wife told me later. i didn't notice him at all at the time; tunnel vision. we saw him at the playground and talked to him for a minute. we asked him where we could see the video and he said hectv.org

Yes, I confirmed with a power-that-be last eve'ntide that indeed we're just going to party the whole time. Flag Day, Full Moon, just one long, incomprehensible party.

Dear Assholes,

If you do not know how to properly dispose of your trash (tossing it over your shoulder onto the street is not a proper disposal technique), do not come on Full Moon Fiascos anymore.

There are one-too-many assholes on Fiascos, and we no longer have room for you. From now on, please stay at home when the moon is full.

I'm all against throwing trash in the street, but please be a bit nicer to people who do so, accidentally or not. FBC is also known as the friendly bike club. Calling someone an asshole because a can accidentally fell off their bike isn't a very nice thing to do is it? Get off your high horse and reserve the stern a-talkin' to for the actual assholes who pollute the street (who hopefully don't come anymore).

Well said

I understand why they feel they have to just ditch trash on the way. In a bike race like this, there's no way you would catch up with the group if you stopped to throw your beer can away!

Oh wait, actually, I ducked down an alley and found a dumpster and the mass hadn't even passed. . . .

We're not talking about stuff accidentally falling off someone's bike. Anyone deliberately tossing trash into the street is an asshole and does not deserve to be treated nicely.

Respect the city or GTFO.

hopefully the people who littered will read this and feel exceedingly dumb. then maybe they'll be cool next time or perhaps they'll be too ashamed to ride again.

this critical mass video has been circling the last couple days where a car plows through a ride, about 50 seconds in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHTYFHmHl78

this is seriously tragic douche-baggery at its worst, but let it allow me to make a FRIENDLY reminder that the FBC is not critical mass...we are not 'taking back the streets'. get in one lane when a car comes, don't throw glass bottles in the street (preferably leave them at home). be good neighbors.

this shouldn't have to be repeated before, during, and after every single ride, folks.

party on.
