pre-fiasco fun= no fun
ok, so i got it all wrong, instead of celebrating critical mass, movie night at bike works is making fun of it. i have lived in communities where critical mass is a positive thing, and people come together monthly to enjoy riding and hanging out with each other, as well as make a statement about bicycles rights to roads and traffic. so i wasn't expecting irony. i was expecting positivity and the embracing of bike culture, but none of that was true.
see you folks at the hi-pointe.
friday the 13
11:00pm
10 or 10:30 for pre-ride libations.
bye bye

I share your disappointment, Mike. What a bunch of jerks. Seriously.
he came from the land down under six foot tall and full of muscles!
what does that mean?
I said do you speaka my languange...
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
that still does make any sense to me, i mean, i knoe that it is "men at work" and i know that the song is called "the land down under" but i am confused about is the relevancy to the current thread.
Come the fuck on. His post on stlfisting is making fun of fisters, not critical mass. He's more pro bike and velo love and all that bullshit than most people.
The joke is that you can't even say the words critical mass on that lame-fuck board without somebody who doesn't know shit piping up and saying how "bad for bicycling" it is. Debate ensues. Nobody learns or does a damn thing.
Movie night will be good, as was the last one, and it's for a good cause. Yeah, bunch of jerks. That's why they're putting this on... whatever.
i said it would be a fun celebration of CM and i was told by the original poster on stlbiking that it was indeed a night to make fun of CM, and to mock what it has done for bikers, and to change my post on this web-site, because i got it wrong
i dont know that they are jerks, i dont know them. all i know is that the topic starter on stlbiking told me i had it wrong. and what it really is doesnt sound like fun to me.
I am a volunteer at BikeWorks, and I can say for a fact that I am a jerk, but the movie night will likely still be a good time.
i am more of a jerk because i used to go to bikeworks a couple years ago and cleaned up the shop as a volunteer then scammed some shit bikes for my own gains. movie nite should be fun CM or no CM. beer, no?
After the movie, there will be a bunny hop competition in front of BikeWorks.
$2 to enter
1st prize: 1/2 of the entry money, a totally sweet trophy, and an even sweeter bike jersey.
2nd prize: Denim covered bike seat
3rd prize: Bike jersey
The other 1/2 the money goes to non-profit.
My name is Dave, and I am the organizer of this event.
say dave what time will this bunnyhop comp start? and can i ride my bmx bike?
bring your bike and cash, and they start after the movies..................
