Please Read

The nice weather is coming.

This is a call to action. The Fucking Bike Club belongs to every person that has ever been on a ride. This summer let's focus on making the FBC as good as it can be.

If you have any ideas about how to improve the FBC, ideas for rides or races, or something to say. Please speak up. The whole idea is that this club belongs to everyone who wants a part of it, and not one person or a small group of people. You are the FBC.

Lets make our club even more of a shining example of something fun you can do. Let's quit doing things like littering and pretending we are so great.

Lets have fun and be great.

Who's in?

Anonymous,
The way to ensure that we have more alley cats is for you to organize one. Let me know the date you choose and I will post all the info on the blog.

Hey guys it's Chad, I took my first ride with you all in february when we towed the keg and went to the old chain of rocks bridge, then me and my friend set off on our way back. But I just wanted to say that i got me a new bike and some tools of my own and I cant wait to start riding more with you guys. It was honestly one of the most fun times ive had in a long time. so hope to see you all soon

I'm looking forward to getting on my bike and not freezing my ass off again. Let's keep having as much fun as we always have, but I think we need to try to be a little more respectful of drivers as our numbers swell again. Just because they piss on us all the time doesn't mean we can ignore that we have equal rights to the road. Stop at lights, remain in one lane. There will always be wankers complaining on our comment boards, but let's do our best to help people's opinions of cyclists. Most important, let's have fun, this is just my interpretation of don't be an asshole.

We already DO stop at lights. But sometimes only half the pack is through the intersection when the light changes. The entire group should keep going as one mass...Not be staggered into five groups simultaneously getting stuck at five diffenent lights.

Have the rides on a consistent day of the week. i.e. last Friday of the month

Although the full-moon increases FBC coolness.

Planes + Biking = Awesome

I decided to ride to work one day. I took the metrolink and got off at East Lambert Metrolink station. I then got on Air Cargo Road and rode counterclockwise around the airport. If there is an east wind that day, that route will take you 70 feet directly under landing planes. It's awesome. .

music ride sounds fabulous. themed bike ride: "anything but clothes" (come in an outfit made of ANYTHING but actual clothing. i once had a party like this in college. a friend of mine made a skirt out of bread. we had a girl dressed in nothing but cleaning supplies- get creative!). alley cats sound fun. i did one in kc a few years ago and it was a blast. i'd help organize one, but i don't think i'd want to take it on alone. anyone interested in getting together on this?

i've never done anything with the fbc. are you guys too cool for a girl with a road bike? hope not! also, the reason i stopped by was to see if there would be a critical mass ride tonight. don't know if you guys do that, but what a great night for a ride.

take it easy.

ready to join in on the fun.

Wanted to do since 2008: food fight or ice cream party and slip n slide with rented dunk tank and possibly bounce house and keg...if anyone wants to organize that!

Easier suggestion: make the moustache ride annual, i've been jealous of that tshirt anchovy made for the first one since I first saw it. If anyone doesn't wear theirs you can give it to me!

AND HOLY SHIT we DO need to all go to S.B.A.C and take over, the only problem is that we'd either need to rent it out and make our own wrestling show (I've got lots of spandex!) or show up way earlier than all the hoosiers that fill the venue.

Uh also we need to have more BBQs in tower grove park this summer and people show off their weird bikes and/or weird costumes.

I am never happier when the "special" rides start at 7 pm - it just makes for a really good day/evening across the board and lengthens the amount of fun that is possible.

First, what the hell is the A.W.K.? Second, the clothing optional ride last yr was sweet! Always a winner. Lastly, a warning where the ride will end? Nearly got shot twice riding back from JB late last year.Other than that, just get on ur bike and ride!

We should set up a giant slip'n'slide down art hill at the end of a ride, and just slide right into the pond.
