is everyone up to date.

all right so it has been a while since the last post, but i didn't have much to say.
from what i hear there is going to be a critical mass this month. friday 5:30pm at kiener plaza downtown. i think that this will be the first one in a while, so you should go.
also peat and i are meeting tonight to discuss plans for the next fiasco and make up flyers. we will also be having a gin and tonic taste test, but that is beside the point.
what we already know is that the next full moon fiasco is monday october 16. we are going to keep the 11:00pm departure time, it seemed to work very well. so meet at the hi-pointe BEFORE 11:00 for beers and the whatnot.
also, do you remember my plea for money? well here it is again. i need some money for spoke cards and stickers, a couple dollars from everyone should cover it, so please bring your wallets to the next fiasco.
holloween is coming up, and i am trying to put together a big party, beer, a ride, some foot-down, other hi-jinx but we need a place to have the party. if you know of a place let me know via posting a message on the site, or by just telling me.

sandbox's fucking face

well what a fucking bike ride. 50+ people, beer, flat tires, mayhem, it was great.
the ride was dedicated to sandboxes face, and the hopes that it gets better. he was there and looking good and toothless, i think that he should consider keeping it that way. if you would like to conduct an informal poll, we can. the choices are: toothless sandbox, or toothfull sandbox? you decide.
i also would like to let everyone know that the spoke cards are getting expensive. and if our numbers continue to grow they will get even more expensive. so, on to the begging. if everyone could dig deep (into their wallet) and give me some money. i am thinking that $1 every fiasco or a few bucks every other fiasco, i dont know, just give me some money. i am not getting rich off of this, i just want to pay for the spoke cards, and stickers, and other FBC shit. it would be a great help.
so anyway, good ride.
next fiasco: monday october 16.

the winner and his strohs

THE RACE IS OVER

well the race is over. the great rave around forest park is done. we have a winner, and we have a loser. we have eleven or so people in the middle with nothing.

however the excitment was in the air.
la mans start, one lap, no holds barred, megans birthday
the only rule was that you had to stay within one foot of the paved bike path. a rule that would later prove very important.
the winning time was 16minutes 21seconds by steven followed very closely by peat, however bopt of them strayed off the path at the finish line, not crossing within the one foot rule, six seconds back was lee to take the win on a technicality.
results: steven (DQ)
peat (DQ)
lee
cole
ben
jeremy
candy john
ROB BELL
kris
phil
megan
ELLIE (DFL)
as far as the birthday celebration goes, megan had a decent showing, first in womens eleven overall. not bad.

fuck labor day

the weekend started off strong with the wedding of ellie and ben. congratulations from all of us here at FBC headquarters. it was great, tons of good people partying, square dancing, seriously, square dancing, it was great.
Alex is in from san-francisco. big day sunday of washers and 40 ounces, all culmanating into the worst hair-cut in the world (pictures to follow). seriously alexs' new hair-cut is terrible, so funny.
today (labor day) kind of sucks
the thing that i do not understand is this: i am part of the labor force in this country, monday (LABOR DAY) is a day that the country set aside to celebrate me and my fucking contributions to society. what does society have me doing today: FUCKING WORKING
UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE
I SHOULD BE IN A FUCKING UNION
bicycle mechanics unite!
i bet i would have the day off then, you bet your ass, we all would.

anyway, one week FBC'ers till the great race around forest park
enjoy the rest of your labor day, i hope the rest of you are working too.

THE GREAT RACE AROUND FOREST PARK

well i do hope that everyone has been training, because the great race around forest park is going to be a doozie.
we do have to put kris up as the favorite, but the longer course and the larger field may show us a new champion, a sleeper maybe. peat is looking strong, as is the ever spinning rob bell, and in a full-face helmet i think that sandbox could take the whole thing. we will just have to see.
an entry fee of one dollar has been put in place. the dollar going towards the lavish prizes that are promised to the winner, second place gets their money back.
so remember, meet at the northeast corner of clayton road and skinker between 5 and 5:30 pm sunday september 11. race to follow shortly.
